Coming to Netflix on March 26. Actor playing Harry Hole looks accurate in height, although he has green eyes instead of blue. And he is American of Swedish descent. Aren't there Norwegian actors who will fit Harry's description and stats? I hope he will be better than the actor in The Snowman. I have read all 13 Harry Hole books and I expect an actor that will look like him. Is that too much to ask?

I was mistaken. The actor playing Harry is Norwegian actor Tobias Santelmann and he looks like the Harry I have in my mind. Joel Kinaman, the Swedish American is part of the supporting cast. I'll review the series when I'm done watching.

I just finished watching and it was a slog. I forced myself to finish the series. I had to watch some Japanese and Korean series in between Harry Hole. It's that boring.

There are some things to unlike. Several scenes need more lighting. Most of the time, I was looking at nothing because it is freaking dark as though there is no electricity in Norway. Sheesh. 

I didn't mind that some of the details were changed from the book. Nesbo himself wrote the screenplay and if he decided to alter a few stuff, then, I'm fine with that. What I didn't like is the corrupt cop, Tom Waaler, has so much presence. I understand because in the book this series is based on, The Devil's Star, he was finally killed. He is  in 2 previous Hole books when Harry suspected him of being an arms smuggler. But must he be in every scene? I rolled my eyes hard when he was in front of a gym? mirror dancing or doing stuff without his shirt on because he said he was exercising or something. Cringe!
